Friday, November 11, 2011  South Carolina Democrats filed a lawsuit on Friday challenging the U.S. House district lines drawn by the Republican-dominated Legislature, calling them electoral apartheid.

Monday, June 27, 2011  Senators have resumed work on drawing lines for U.S. House seats for South Carolina.  The Senate has at least a dozen amendments to discuss Monday.

Wednesday, June 08, 2011  South Carolina senators have rejected a plan to add a new minority district to the Senate and instead have approved a plan that reduces black voter influence in a district.

Tuesday, June 07, 2011  South Carolina senators are scheduled to hear testimony on how the state's district lines should be redrawn.  The American Civil Liberties Union plans to testify at Tuesday's hearing on how lines should be drawn for 46 senate seats.

Monday, May 23, 2011  With new data from the 2010 Census it's time for the city of Columbia to draw new district lines.  City leaders will hold a public hearing Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
