Two Gamecocks picked up weekly honors for their 14-12 winning performance against Mississippi State Saturday. D.J. Swearinger was named co-SEC Defensive Player of the Week and Bruce Ellington was named co-SEC Freshman of the Week by the conference Monday.

Gamecock Defensive End Melvin Ingram has done it again. Southeastern Conference officials named him Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row. Ingram racked up a total 11 tackles, over four tackles for a loss and a career-best 3.5 sacks. Ingram also intercepted a pass in Saturday's 16-13 loss to Auburn.
