Officials say one person is dead and another is recovering after a shooting that happened in the front yard of a northeast Richland County home daycare. The Richland County Sheriff's Department says they responded 1612 Summit Ridge Drive for a report of shots fired Tuesday morning. They arrived to find 18-year-old Henry Ellison dead after shooting himself in the front yard. Ellison's 21-year-old girlfriend was found inside the residence with a non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
