Boeing and SCE&G have teamed up to cover the roof of the Boeing 787 assembly plant in North Charleston with solar panels. The green energy producers will cover a 10 acre area. SCE&G officials say the panels will allow the plant to operate completely on renewable energy.

Gov. Nikki Haley is facing her first big lawsuit after saying the state would try to keep unions out of Boeing Inc. plant in North Charleston. International Association of Machinists says that the lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Charleston Thursday.
