A Charleston County man has been charged in a wreck that killed a bicycle rider on a James Island bridge earlier this month.

A bicyclist is dead after a fall from the westbound lane of the James Island Connector in the Lowcountry. Officials say he was hit by an AT&T truck at around 8:45 a.m. and knocked into the marsh, about 30 to 40 feet below. Authorities say it took them about an hour after the wreck to recover the body of 54-year-old Mitchell Hollon.
