October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and several organizations throughout the nation and here in the Midlands are joining the effort to raise awareness of this deadly disease. Our Fraendy Clervaud spent the afternoon at The Karate Dojo in West Columbia where students are fighting breast cancer with a pink belt.

Police officers from Columbia are helping raise money to fight cancer. Chief Randy Scott says officers will be at Buffalo Wild Wings and Bar on Devine Street Wednesday. They'll be collecting donations for an event scheduled for April 20.
