RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) -- One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting late Saturday night.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department responded to a shots fired call at the 8400 block of Old Percival Road late Saturday night. Authorities say two victims were sitting outside of their home, when a car with two black males pulled up.  Deputy Curtis Wilson said the two men came out and tried to force their way inside the home to reach the victims.

Wilson said the men shot several rounds at the door; hitting one of the victims multiple times in the upper body. That person has been taken to Palmetto Richland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say one of the men wore blue jeans, a red and blue sweatshirt, and had a handgun. The other suspect also had a gun; and wore a black jacket with a ski mask.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
