Search for missing Ft. Jackson soldier takes new direction

 The search for a Fort Jackson soldier that vanished from his home Saturday has taken a new direction, according to Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers.

St. Matthews, SC (WACH) - The search for a Fort Jackson soldier that vanished from his home Saturday has taken a new direction, according to Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers.

Summers says the gound search  has been suspended and authorities are following out of state leads.

According to investigators Sergeant Robert Larson was last seen at his home in the Sandy Run Community in Calhoun county Saturday evening October 6, around 7pm.

He is described as 6'1, 190lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Larson was last seen driving his 2009 Black Jeep Wrangler 4-door with South Carolina license plate PH5752.
