Lexington Sheriff's blood drive a major success

LEXINGTON, SC (WACH)- Citizens and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department employees donated more than 100 units of blood at a blood drive that the Sheriff’s Department conducted in partnership with the South Carolina chapter of the American Red Cross on Thursday, January 19 at the Lexington County James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex in Lexington.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said 105 units of blood were donated during the blood drive.  Since 2006, blood drives conducted by the Sheriff’s Department has  have resulted in the donation of a total of 1,304 units of blood to the American Red Cross.
