LIBERTY (FOX Carolina) -- A day after Liberty High School Principal Randy Gilstrap Sr. was arrested and charged with embezzlement, the school's bookkeeper faced similar charges.
Beua Denard was arrested Thursday and charged with embezzlement of public funds and breach of trust with fraudulent intent, according to warrants.
The warrants said that Denard manipulated deposits and diverted less than $10,000 meant for the school and the Pickens County School District over the past two years.
Gilstrap was arrested Wednesday and charged with embezzlement of public funds, breach of trust with fraudulent intent and financial transaction card fraud.
According to the arrest warrants, Gilstrap diverted money meant for the school and the school district between November 2008 and February.
Gilstrap and Denard were both placed on leave in February while the financial records of the school were being reviewed.
