COLUMBIA (WACH) - A boil water advisory placed in effect for parts of East Columbia in the Forest Drive area has been repealed.

According to the City of Columbia Public Works Department citizens of Magnolia 42 apartments, and the 4800-5300 blocks of Forest Drive no longer need to boil their water before consuming it.

Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the City of Columbia Water Works.  The results of this sampling indicate that the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
