Tuesday, June 05, 2012  Columbia city council voted 6-1 Tuesday night to approve the sale of the Capital City Stadium property to a Walmart developer. The study, conducted by AMEC Environment and Infrastructure, concludes that a proposed development could be implemented "without significant impacts" to the Rocky Branch Watershed.

Monday, August 29, 2011  Utility crews in Columbia's Shandon neighborhood are set to resume tree trimming following community outcry.   SCE&G officials say contractors will be trimming limbs near utility lines.  City officials, including certified arborists, will be monitoring the crew's work on a daily basis.
