Deputies received a report that John Henry Mayers was last seen May 7 at his home in Chapin. Mayers father told investigators his son left the house to check into rehab for substance abuse. Before he was about to leave, he got a phone call and left on foot to meet the unknown person on the other end of the line according to Charles Mayers.
