In an effort to have continue the message of awareness about diabetes, citing seven million people who have diabetes and don’t know it, and generate much needed money for research, the American Diabetes Association, the Columbia Police Department, and the Frye Foundation have partnered for the first “Gettin’ Cocky for Diabetes Football Benefit.”

The City of Columbia has issued a boil water advisory for the Flora Springs Subdivision, advising customers to “vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.” Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
