After two years of training, assistance dogs were matched with the appropriate job & person in need. After a two week team training course for the individuals with special needs, our dogs are ready to graduate! After the PAALS Graduation, the celebration will continue with “A Magical Night with PAALS” fundraiser. All proceeds are tax deductible and go directly to PAALS. The graduation will be free to the public and there will be a ticket price for the fundraiser.
The graduation and A Magical Night with PAALS will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009
At the Windermere Country Club on 1101 Longtown Road East in Blythewood, SC. The assistance dogs were raised in South Carolina and spent a lot of time interacting and learning how to behave at local stores and restaurants. It is estimated that these first graduates interacted with over 1400 children through community events, school visits, and special camps. PAALS enthusiastically invites everyone to celebrate the accomplishment of creating life changing canines that now help their partners every day. Come meet the assistance dog teams and the new puppies in training. The graduation is free and open to the public and begins at 7:00pm.
Immediately following the public graduation, A Magical Night With PAALS will begin at 7:30. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased at A Paws Paradise on the corner of Broad River Rd and Piney Grove Rd in Columbia or online at www.paals.org. Single tickets are $75.00 and couples are $125. Tickets include drinks, silent auction, dinner, entertainment, and a live auction by Holiday Auctions. Attire is
semi-formal.
