Columbia, SC— Immediate Press Release —This special event will take place Friday, February 22, through Sunday, February 24, 2013. Our theme for this distinct occasion is 20/45: Celebrating 20 Years of Ministry and 45 Years of Life.
We will begin our three day celebration on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with a worship service at Zion Mill Creek Baptist Church featuring a word from Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III, Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee and the musical ministry of local artist.
On Saturday, February 23, 2013 we will have a 20/45 Gospel Celebration featuring Derrick Brown and WOR, Roy and Revelations, Sunday's Best Winner Joshua Rogers, and Dorinda Clark-Cole at Lower Richland High School Hopkins, SC 29061 tickets for this event can be purchased at www.eventbright.com A portion of the proceeds for this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in honor of Pastor Sumter’s Mother Mrs. Luella S. Dinkins and in memory of his youth choir advisor from his youth Mrs. Thelma Davis, and others who are fighting or have fought the battle of cancer. A special ceremony will be held during the concert.
VIP tickets for this event will be $40.00 and will include reserved seats and a VIP reception. General admission tickets will be sold for $25.00 in advance and $35.00 at the door.Our culminating event will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 during morning worship service beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Praise & Worship led by ZMC’s Praise and Worship Team and the Dancer of Zion. The service will also feature music and dance tributes with a powerful sermon brought forth by Pastor Stanley Ladson of Ladson Chapel Baptist Church.
The Zion Mill Creek Baptist Church family is excited about our ministry’s growth and progress under the leadership of our beloved Pastor, Bishop Wendell B. Sumter.
