The Para Firm and Fisher Films have finished the second video in their Holiday Highlights series - The Thanksgiving Edition. This video features prominent downtown businesses, Granger Owings, The Army Navy Surplus Store, S&S Art Supply, The Nickelodeon Theater, and King’s Jewelers, expressing their thankfulness for the wonderful City of Columbia that supports them.The Thanksgiving Edition follows the successful first video, Holiday Highlights – Halloween Edition, which showcased the spooky ghost stories of popular Main Street businesses including Mast. General Store, Paradise Ice, the Columbia Museum of Art, and Tapp’s Arts Center. That video, featured on the ABC news at noon, also included appearances from Capital Places, Pia’s Hair Salon, Wine Down on Main Street, S&S Art Supply, Frame of Mind, and MetLife.Holiday Highlights is a 3-part video campaign produced by The Para Firm, a marketing and design company focused on small and mid-size businesses, and Fisher Films, a video production company in downtown Columbia. These two local companies, owned by young entrepreneurs, are new to the downtown area and are excited to play their part in the local economy. The Holiday Highlights video series features Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stories from local businesses and is a chance for The Para Firm and Fisher Films to give back to the community by raising awareness about the exciting revitalization of Main Street. Explaining the purpose of the Thanksgiving video, Nathan Halydier, CEO at the Para Firm said, “At the Para Firm we believe that business is about community and relationships. We wanted to do something to show our appreciation for the community and businesses of Columbia and their continued support of Main Street.
