Glenforest Takes a Swing to Send Local Kids to Camp this Summer!

Announcing 2nd Annual “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament on June 18th

WEST COLUMBIA, SC - Glenforest School, a K-12, non-profit school for children who learn differently, presents the second annual “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament in partnership with Technisis at Golden Hills Golf & Country Club on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 8am – 2.30pm.
All “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament proceeds directly benefit local families in need of financial assistance in our community. Funds raised provide camp scholarship opportunities to local students of all ages, and will help more kids go to Glenforest camps this summer.“The success of Clubs 4 Camps is highly dependent upon the support, contributions and participation of local businesses, individuals, and families in our community. We are very grateful to all of the players and sponsors of this year’s event who are all helping us accomplish our goals and helping us ensure all families in our community are afforded the chance to provide their kids a fun summer camp experience they can enjoy and remember for years to come.” Said Chris Winkler, Head of Glenforest School.“Clubs 4 Camps” is an action-packed, daylong event, offering players and providers far more than a round of golf alone. Thanks to each of this year’s tournament hole sponsors there is a whole line-up of surprises, goodies, fun activities, and refreshments throughout the course.Additional event highlights and features include: “Golf Bingo”, 1st and 2nd place award trophies, door prizes, free range golf ball giveaways, raffle prize drawings, Mulligans “Team First Aid” kits available for purchase, snacks and beverages, and a Hole-in-one prize take-home with vehicle provided by WRAY Automotive and breakfast compliments of Chick-Fil-A (of Harbison Blvd.) A Players Luncheon and Award Presentation concludes festivities for the day, featuring prize giving, recognitions, and silent auction. Lunch is provided courtesy of Carrabba’s Italian Grill.Individual entry for “Clubs 4 Camps” Golf Tournament, June 18th at Golden Hills Golf & Country Club costs $85.00 (individual) or $320 for team entry (4-player team.) Prices include course and club entry with associated fees, tournament play, breakfast and lunch, tournament commemorative shirt, and much more. 100% of all proceeds directly benefit local families in need of financial assistance. Glenforest School offers a unique assortment of fun, engaging, education-driven summer programs specifically designed to accommodate students who learn “traditionally,” those who learn “differently” and those with unique learning needs (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s, ADD/ADHD, and Dyslexia.) This year’s camp line-up includes:

Angry Birds LIVE: A High Flying Physics Camp : June 11th – 15th
Math, Laughs & Video Games Camp : June 25th – 29th
Reading Discovery Camp - $250 : June 18th – 22nd
