Parkinson’s Support Group: Every fourth Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Waterford Retirement Community – Meeting includes free lunch, time to share with group, and a speaker discussing important topics relating to Parkinson’s Disease. Please make reservations in advance by calling (803) 699-1121. 

 

The Lewy Body Dementia Association announces the formation of the Midlands Area Lewy Body Dementia Support Group for family members and caregivers who have a loved one with Lewy Body Dementias (LBDs).  LBDs are the second leading cause of degenerative dementia in the elderly. 

The Lewy Body Dementia Support will meet on the second Monday of each month starting on September 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Meetings will be held at the Haven in the Summit, A Resources for Senior Living Residence for Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, located near the Village at Sandhill in northeast Columbia.
