What is the Change for Change Project?
Change for Change is a public art installation exhibition project that
benefits the Climate Protection Action Campaign (CPAC). We aim to create awareness of sustainability in our city through media, community and
public art.
Defunct City of Columbia Parking Meters have been retrofitted with new posts and bases, and donated to WACH TV and given out to local Columbia artists - like YOU, to turn them into pieces of art!
There will be an art show/silent auction for the pieces on December 20th at 5:30pm at 701 Whaley to raise funds for CPAC. All other meters will go back into the community as public art, featured in small businesses and hopefully as city landmarks.
You can purchase advanced tickets here for the art show. There will also be tickets availble the night of the show.
The show will start at 5:30pm and last until 8:30pm. Bidding will end at 8pm.
While viewing the art, enjoy Green Truck organic wine from Southern Wine & Spirits and tasty treats from Mo Mo’s Bistro, Solstice Kitchen, Let’s Cook Culinary Studio, Edible Arrangements, V.B. Hook & Co and the Melting Pot.
