Jerrita Patterson joined the WACH FOX News team in September 2008. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, but grew-up in Nashville, Tennessee, better known as "Music City USA."
Her television career started in her hometown of Nashville, where she was an Associate Producer, Web Editor and Weekend Producer at WKRN-TV. Two years later Jerrita made the move across the country, to Butte, Montana. Starting as a Reporter, Jerrita was quickly promoted to Morning Anchor at KXLF/KBZK-TV in Butte and Bozeman, Montana. After two years of frigid temperatures, she packed up, leaving only her parka and snow boots behind, and headed to South Carolina.
"Never settle, until your dreams become reality. But never forget, your reality is someone else's dream."
The dream to become a Journalist first began when Jerrita was 9 years old, reciting Scriptures in church. Fast-forward several years, and that dream was amplified, during her years at Hampton University (Go Pirates)! She is a proud graduate from Hampton (the Real HU) and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
For this Southern Belle, returning to the South is another dream come true. When she's not working, you can find her adding to her shoe-collection, at a local comedy-club, or working on maintaining her "Best Auntie" title, with her precious niece, Brooklyn.
