WEEKEND METEOROLOGIST (PART TIME)
WACH TV is looking for a part-time weekend meteorologist.
Job Description: WACH has an opening for a part-time weekend meteorologist. Duties include producing and delivering weathercasts along with as-needed severe weather coverage, writing weather-related stories for the station website, posting regular Facebook and Twitter weather updates, assisting with forecast and graphic preparation, and weather reporting duties as required.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1+ years on-air weather experience. Southeastern weather forecasting experience and iNews/Weather Central experience a plus. Must be able to work Holidays as needed as well as hours necessary to perform the duties as outlined above. Applicants should have a BS in meteorology or comparable education and training, and either have NWA/AMS Seal of Approval or be eligible and ready to attain seals.

NEWS PRODUCER
WACH TV is looking for a News Producer.
Job Description: WACH needs a producer to lead a fast-paced, high story count, enterprise-reporting oriented newscast that is factually accurate and concise. Must be a self-starter, and able to manage multiple tasks at once while artfully controlling flow of newscasts during both production and on-air broadcast. The successful candidate is a great writer, problem solver with solid news judgment who thrives under deadline pressure and easily adapts to changes and breaking news. Must be able to coordinate with reporters in the field as well as the assignment editor and other staff to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 3-5 years full-time news producer experience. This is not an entry-level position and applicants without prior producing experience will not be considered. Experience in a medium-sized Southeastern Fox affiliate strongly preferred. Qualified candidates must have mastery of social media tools including Facebook and Twitter, and must understand how to properly leverage their use on-air and online. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills, solid news judgment, strong computer skills and the ability to make quick decisions and work well under pressure. College degree in journalism or communications strongly preferred. Must be able to work Holidays as needed as well as hours necessary to perform the duties as outlined above.

MARKETING SALES ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

Marketing Sales Assistant is an administrative position that will work closely with AEs creating presentations and proposals for clients. Will also answer phones, prepare correspondence and reports as needed for AEs. Verify accuracy of AEs contracts. Strong computer and communication skills required. MEDIA OPERATIONS MANAGER
WACH TV is looking for a Media Operations Manager.
Full time duties to include:
- Managing all aspects of Production department for sales and related departments.
- Managing Operations for Master Control
- Managing Technical Directors for News
- Marketing WACH-TV thru TV, Radio and the Internet. Along with marketing WACH-TV in the community.
Education and Experience: College Degree and 3 or more years experience in the broadcasting industry. Knowledge of operations, production, and engineering essential. Work experience with a Fox Affiliate that produces news a plus. Experience in the Southeast a plus.
Other Requirements: Must be personable, punctual, and reliable. Must be a leader, self motivated, an excellent communicator and a multi-tasker. Must have valid drivers license and good driving record.
Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.

- Strong computer, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in direct selling to local business, and/or phone sales important.
- Must be organized with good leadership skills.
- College degree preferred.
Compensation: At entry level, salary in the $25,000 range and includes healthcare benefits.
