WACH FOX 57 strongly identifies with a population strongly impacted by three large Military installations, nine colleges and more than six hospitals.WACH FOX 57 is a full-power UHF station that began broadcasting in 1980 as a Christian Independent Station and became a FX affiliate in 1988. WACH broadcasts its analog signal on channel 57 and its digital signal on channel 48. The station can also be seen on both DirecTV and EchoStar's DISH network. WACH FOX 57 is the home of WACH FOX News at Ten, Columbia's only primetime newscast which is among the highest-rated late newscasts among FOX affiliates in the country. WACH FOX News at Ten celebrated 10 years of service in the Midlands on March 6, 2005. WACH FOX 57 is also the home of WACH FOX News Good Day!, which started in April 2007. The station is aggressive in its community service efforts, including "Waiting Child WACH," "Drive for Life" and the annual "Share Your Holiday Food Drive" for Harvest Hope Food Bank, the largest food drive in the state.
